Installed is not the same as looked after

Cameras get knocked. Firmware ages. A gate reader fills with dust. A boardroom microphone slowly points at the ceiling because someone turned it. AVX Solutions offers maintenance for the security and AV systems we install, and for some systems we inherit after we have seen them.

What a visit is for

A plan is a visit schedule and a way to call when something is actually down. It is not a promise that every fault in Gauteng is attended in twenty minutes. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, from Brooklyn and Sandown. After-hours is agreed per site, not assumed.

Picture quality: focus, night image, spiders, and cameras that now point at a new tree.

Recording: disk health and whether the system is still keeping the days you think it is.

Access control: expired cards, doors left unlocked in the software, readers that beep and do nothing.

Maintenance

A plan is a visit schedule and a way to call when something is actually down.

What this covers

AV rooms: a test call, not a glance at a green light.

Power: what happens to the recorder and the gate when the power drops.

If you want a once-off health check rather than a contract say that on the form. Some sites need a clean-up before a plan makes sense.

Questions we get on site

Do you maintain other companies' installations?

If we can get into the system and the hardware is still supportable, usually yes. We will not sign a plan for a recorder that should be replaced.

How often do you visit?

It depends on the site. A complex gate and a single home camera are not the same interval. It is written in the agreement.

Are call-outs included?

Fault calls and planned visits are different lines. The quote separates them so you are not surprised.

Which number do we use?

012 346 0525 in Pretoria, 010 011 2372 in Sandton, or the contact form.
